Okay, so I made a trip from Okinawa to Camp Zama for just two nights, but a quick check on the Rocky Top web site alerted me that both of those nights would have Bluegrass bands playing!! How hard could it be to get from Camp Zama to the Ginza?!!
I boarded a local train at rush hour (yes, that's right, a local, not a rapid, and did I mention that it was rush hour?) So there I was, on my way to Tokyo. After 45 minutes of cattle-car conditions and numerous stops, I found out that I was still over an hour away!! So, realizing I would have to do this whole thing in reverse (unless I was smart enough to catch a rapid), I finally got off and started to make my way back to my starting point, but I ended up on a branch line instead of the one I wanted. One hour later, I'm back at the station I entered the branch line on and connected to the train back to Camp Zama, another 45 minutes. My night ended back on base at 9:00 P.M. with no Bluegrass except for what was on my IPod. Oh well, at least there was hockey on TV!

Football girl here- I'm usually cheering for the Raiders,tho that's like rooting for that relative you always hope will do well but.......*laughs* So I do cheer for other teams as well. I do like hockey but there's nobody I know that's really into it.
