If you've read my previous entries, you know I recently traveled from Okinawa to Tokyo for a few weeks of work, and while there I attended several performances of different bluegrass bands in a club in the Ginza. I mentioned to one of the musicians during one of their breaks that I can't find any bluegrass on Okinawa. She sent an e-mail last week with the name of a friend of hers who runs a bluegrass jam a couple of times a month here on the island. Long story short, I've gotten in touch with him, and am awaiting my invitation to my first jam!

He called last night and invited me to hear his group play at a live house next weekend. Unfortunately, I am going camping with the Boy Scouts next weekend, but I'll get up with him soon.
