One of my resolutions this year was to practice every day, even if it meant taking an instrument with me on the road when I travel. I was doing admirably well on this, even taking a mandolin with me to Tokyo for the last two weeks when I was there on business. Alas, I depart today for the States, and do not have room for an instrument on this trip due to work-related gear I have to take, shared-rental car constraints, etc. I will be completely without an instrument of any kind, and I will miss it.

Sometimes life doesn't realize we committed ourselves to do something. And we just have to realize it wasn't broken but adjusted. Good luck in your practice.
