Setup

As most that are marked down it was not set up,and with in 20min I adjusted the trus rod ,raised the bridge ,all of which are a piece of cake. And the action is great and plays like butter. However most dealers for a small charge and some are free will check and set up for you if you are not sure how to do this. >>NOTE A TRUS ROD IN A LOWER DOLLAR A STYLE wHAT A PLUS<<

This is my first time with this brand. And this is there first big model change MDM-2/c and I just took a chance at it.(and it was the right move for sure) As you will read I added a few changes myself. And have sent word back to the dealer.

Components

It comes with a wider neck 31mm,tone bars are tuned for more even sound,The F holes are larger for a more mellow sound, destressed to look over 50 years of hard playing,Just what I have been lookind for that I could afford. From a distance you will think I have a $33,000.00 Gibson

I made a few changes. Some years ago Jeff ( owner of j-boviar mandolins) told me to use S.I.T. strings for the best lasting sound. So as always the first thing I did was change the strings, then Remove the pick guard, (kills sound) Install my tone guard.(also adds to sound output keeps off of your body)And for a LOT LESS than $1000.00 I have a great new mandolin. I am not sure how this came about but mine has the number 1 serial number now how lucky was that
