I believe this tune dates from Civil War times. It's played here on a 1918 Gibson A-1 accompanied by a Goya G-10.

I think there are at least three or four tunes with this title and I like them all, this one included. My arrangement is played on two mandolins, the Gibson and a 198x Franciscan A model, with guitar backup.

The Gibson mando and a couple of guitar tracks of the Goya. I think its origin is Celtic. Maybe not. Anyone know for sure?

This tune gives new meaning to the word, "mournful." It's played on the old Gibson accompanied by a single guitar track.

This is one of those tunes that gets in my head and won't leave. It's played here on the Gibson mando with two tracks of guitar backup. I have a viola and mando version posted on the Fiddle Hangout site but I think this one is my favorite.
