I've been looking to buy another mandolin and stumbled across a few 1970"s Japanese two point mandolins, one being an Alvarez and the other a Taka. I didn't get either of them but someone showed up at church tonight with a Hohner A style two point mandolin. I can't find a serial or model number anywhere on the mandolin. It is in great shape and has a good sound. The guy doesn't know what he wants for it and I can't find another one for sale anywhere on the internet. I know that Hohner isn't a great mandolin but some of the knock offs of Gibson copies were good. Any idea of what I should pay for the instrument? It appears to be solid spruce top, maple sides and back.
