Just wanted to let everyone at Mando Hangout know about GrassTrax.com which just launched with 50 tunes today.
What is GrassTrax? It's a library of bluegrass backing tracks for you to play along with. We all get tired of hearing just our instrument as we play a tune over and over again--it's much more fun if we've got a full band in the mix.
For each tune we provide a "practice bundle" for Banjo, Bass, Fiddle, Guitar, and Mandolin. Each practice bundle includes the song at various speeds with your instrument removed, plus a version "at speed" with all instruments," plus a PDF chord chart and a "woodshed track" which starts out slow and increases at 5BPM each time it loops. That's a lot of stuff for just $1.99 per song!
Basically, our goal here is to create a library of affordable, high-quality backing tracks to help your practice times more fun and effective.
Check the site out and let us know what you think! We'll be adding more tunes each week moving forward, but you can request a song if you'd like.
