After a couple of ill-fated attempts at learning to play this thing, I'm at it again with renewed hope. Currently working through these books: "Bluegrass Mandolin" (Tottle) "Teach Yourself Bluegrass Mandolin" (Statman) "The Mandolin PIcker's Guide to Bluegrass Improvisation" (Rubner-Peterson) I'm taking it slow, trying to get the fundamentals right, and am having a great time with it all!
