My Mom bought me a Hondo mandolin for christmas 4 or 5 years ago and I started playing,I went to a Kentucky A style for a while that my brother loaned till I bought a Michael Kelly,I was mostly interested in the traditional/bluegrass music but after about a year of mandolin I got into fiddle and started learning some celtic and that transferred to mandolin,I finally got to the point where I could apply anything on mandolin to fiddle and vice versa,with a few adjustments in picking or bowing.
