I played rhythm guitar for a while but always wanted to play the banjo and about 6 years ago I finally got one. So, for the last 6 years I have been strictly a banjo player. About a month ago (Nov. of 2010) I got a beginner mandolin and I am loving it. It is so much fun, I am already wanting to upgrade but I guess it will be a while. I am really enjoying the mandolin though and so glad there is a mandolin hangout now, I loved the layout of the banjohangout so much I can't wait to explore this site.
