I've played fiddle and mandolin with bluegrass, oldtime, Irish, western swing, and swing bands. Twice Wisconsin state fiddle champion (a long time ago!). Author of several fiddle books published by Mel Bay, including Oldtime Fiddling Across America, Anthology of Fiddle Styles, and Anthology of Jazz Violin Styles (just reissued). I record and play with my family in the Reiner Family Band, and play with Granite Grass as well. And I've been hosting Fiddle Hell in Groton, MA the last few years (more info on my website).
