Tuning: I tune this Octave Mandolin GDAE and it could easily be tuned GDAD for bouzouki style playing, but I prefer the octave mandolin. It could also be tuned as a Zouk. The sound is amazing, and it is gorgeous and in like-new condition. Hiscock lightweight case included, always kept with Arion humidifiers to maintain proper humidity.

Details: Custom Ordered Nikos Apollonio Octave Mandolin with an adjustable neck for action tweaking.

Body: Maine Spruce top, Bubinga sides, Ebony fingerboard, tailpiece, and button.

Specials: Rosette is turquoise Corian inside Rosewood inlay and headstock has Apollo circle icon of turquoise Corian inside brass. Snowflake inlays with special seashell 3rd fret.

Fingerboard:
You can tune to GDAE for Mandolin tuning or GDAD for Bouzouki tuning.
Length from the Nut to Bridge is 21-3/4”
From Nut to Octave Fret (including the zero fret) is 10-15/16.

Tuners: 18:1 tuning ratio, GOTOH SGS510Z Magnum lock-in Cosmo Black with matching S5 Contour button. So easy to tune as well as put on new strings.

Pickup: K&K Pickup, hidden, with bottom body strap button to connect an amp.

This instrument is one of the finest sounding string instruments in my collection.
I’m selling it because it sits in its case with humidity, while I spend my time playing violin or mostly regular size mandolin, instead. I'm just a mandolin girl.

Chords are easy if tuned to GDAD, or tune it GDAE if I crave melody.
The sound is beautiful, indeed.
