Hi,
I'm looking into buying a new mandolin case. I'd like a hard shell case that has enough storage for a pack of strings and a tuner, and is very protective. I'm interested in the Calton mandolin cases, just want to be sure that that'll work for me before I go buy one. I don't live close to where I can try one out, so thought maybe someone here could give me some good advice! :) Is the case deep enough to keep a tone-gard on the mandolin when put away?

Thanks!
Lucy L

Personally, since Calton cases are on the expensive side, I would call the company and talk to an expert...

They are solid cases and heavy. But they will protect your mandolin. As Tom said, speak to them and they can help.

For less than 1/2 The cost of Carlton, and imoa twice the protection, you can get a Hiscox case.

Thanks everyone for your input! I ended up going with Calton Cases. They were very easy to work with and the case is perfect!
