I started teaching myself mandolin in 1994. I went from listening to Metallica to Lonesome River Band & New Grass Revival. I still love Metallica though :) I then joined the band Jack & Mike Theobald & Bluegrass Country in 1994. Since then Mike & I played in the band Blueplate Special along with Mark Bennett, Robin Macy, & Ken White until around 1999. Since then we have started the Band Kansas Heart.
