Hello everyone! I just joined today and would like some input from all of you who know much more than my husband and I do. Our family has just decided that we would ALL like to take up a bluegrass instrument. The problem is, we are very limited on money and nearby instructors. My husband and 6 yr old daughter would like to play the banjo. My 8 year old daughter and I would like to play the mandolin. My husband has actually been teaching himself the banjo little by little over the last year or so but would still probably be considered a beginner. SO, my questions for all of you are: Do you think online lessons will be effective for the children? If so, where do we look? What do you suggest? Has this worked for you? Thanks so much!
