I have recently worked on my new Kentucky 150 Mandolin. Had the chance to read up and learn how to set the action on the Mandolin. Well, it went well, there were no problems except that the nut fell off when I took it apart.. (uh... do I glue it back in? if so is there a special glue to do this with?) not sure yet. Need to find out. I have more opportunity to get better action, but first I need to learn how to dress down frets. Yes, I have a fret that is a bit high, and also one of my A strings is not cut as low as the other in the nut. So more learning on how to do this the correct way. Looking for any input on how to set this up properly, I really love the tone of this instrument. I so badly want to learn but am strapped with a very tight budget. Good thing that Practice is free.. :) Now just need a first lesson.

I have been playing Bass Guitar and Classical Guitar in a Worship team for about 12 years. I love the earthy, root sound of the mandolin and think that it is a beautiful instrument that has alot of potential in bringing people back to their roots in Worship. I am only starting and have no real experience in playing Mandolin. I am looking for guidence and lessons.
