Hey y'all. Does anyone use any good apps to practice your knowledge on the go? Whether its fretboard skills, chord recognition, note recognition, etc? I'm also looking for the same for banjo and guitar so if you have ANY suggestions please don't hesitate to tell me! Thank you!

I play mandolin, guitar, and uke, and hack away at the fiddle and banjo. For the guitar, I am partial to Tabs (the app logo is a yellow 'G' with horns). In addition to chords--always helpful--and tabs (guitar, and some ukulele) for a bunch of songs, there is a chromatic tuner, a metronome, and a chord library (again, guitar only).
In my travels, there has yet to be a good mandolin app. There are lots of great mandolin materials out there, and lots of mandolin tuner apps, but no app that helps you with the broader techniques of pick direction, tremolo, arpeggios, etc.
If there is, I would be quite happy to be proven wrong!

I play uke as well! Been self teaching that. Alright darn, I’ll keep looking and see if I can turn anything up.

iReal Pro is a play-along practice app...a cool feature is you can set the progression to cycle trough the circle of 5ths, so you could be reinforcing the chords to any song you input being played in any key. It's the transposition feature under the graduation cap should you want to try it. Then program it to go up 5 half steps (a 4th).
