March 16th, 2020...

Since late 2019, I've been dealing with another phase of congestive heart failure: relapse...

Slightly different symptoms with familiar end result: difficulty breathing, unable to take more than 10 steps at a time without stopping to catch breath, loss of energy, onset of depression because of above symptoms, i.e., no fun...

I had 2 ER visits since weekend before last and now am back in hospital (for the last 4 days) to get re-assessed and put on a new plan of attack.

They've dumped close to 20 pounds of fluid out of my system in 4+ days of Lasix therapy (IV water reduction medicine)...

Making progress, easier-to-breathe, walking further at a time, etc.

Right now, though, it is interfering with my arranging/tabbing...

I'll be back...

After 8 days in one heart hospital, I got moved today to a heart hospital that specializes in transplants and other high tech ways of mechanically assisting the the heart to pump more efficiently.

It will take til Tuesday to see what the full plan is.

In the mean time, keep me on your prayer list...

My gal, Janie has been an indispensable buddy, friend, pal, angel and total support system while I go through all of this... I thank the good Lord for her every day...

And I thank the good folks on the Mando Hangout for the kind words and helping keep me motivated.

Ultrasound and cardiac cath out of the way today...

I'm changing my nick name to "Pokey"... I've seen the business end of far too many needles this week, ouch, ouch, ouch!

Still progressing on water weight reduction...
