Hi folks,

Perhaps the kind wisdom of the Mando Hangout could help me identify the make and model of my late grandfather's mandolin. I imagine this would have been purchased near Spruce Pine NC or Dalton GA around the 1950s or a little earlier.

Unfortunately, the instrument has suffered some pretty bad dry rot, but I may see what it would take for a luthier to put it back together one of these days.

Thanks all for your time and expertise. If more pictures are needed, please pardon the delay. The mandolin is with my brother on the west coast.
