I bought a new Palatino fiddle earlier this year from Music Makers in Farmington, MO.
Recently, I got a wild hair and decided to paint an American flag on the back of it...
Used quick-dry acrylic paint and finished it in about 6 hours of on-off working on it.
I'm gonna hang this one (and use it) in my studio at Music Makers.
BTW: I painted a matching case last year in 2018, BEFORE I bought the fiddle!
