Jimmy Gaudreu (jimmygaudreau.com) asked me to pass this along.
Very happy to do so!
Howdy Folks,David Benedict, who plays mandolin for a group called Mile Twelve also hosts a weekly program called Mandolin Mondays on Mandolin Cafe's YouTube channel contacted me about participating in the series. Its been running for like, 150 consecutive weeks and features mandolin players of various genres doing solo videos. As you know I've been "retired" for almost 2 years but I decided to give it a shot and did my best to not embarrass myself while trying to play by his guidelines: pretty much head-on, no fancy cameras (cell phone or GoPro is preferred) and no editing. Tougher than it sounds. Anyway, my video, as it is, will was posted today and can be accessed using the first link. The second link lets you see other videos in their archives. I checked that out and found some AMAZING players out there, some of whom I know or have at least heard of and others I never heard of. Well, I have now. Yikes!!! Hope you enjoy and please feel free to forward this on to your friends. Thanks,
Take care, Jimmy G.
Jimmy's dedicating his tune to another friend of mine, Orrin Star...
May he Rest in Peace.
Thanks, Jimmy!
