Hi,
I mostly play guitar and banjo, although I did get started with mandolin and fiddle a very long time ago.
Recently, I found out I could put GDAE strings on my ukulele. I really like how it sounds! And it's easy to play.
I more or less remember how to play GDAE, and I am working on improvising and also on sight-reading fiddle/mandolin tunes.
Has anyone here tried this? Are there any disadvantages to having 4 strings instead of 8?
