I need a little advice on a possible mandolin purchase.
I have noticed a Washburn Richie Owens on ebay going for £650 in its Washburn case.
The instrument is said to be unmarked and almost unplayed and I am rather tempted to buy it but, as it is of chinese origin and add on the fact that as it was discontinued a number of years ago I cannot find any reviews on it.
There do not seem to be too many of these in the UK and I am hoping someone can give me some insight as to weather or not it is a good instrument and if it is worth the asking price.
I am a beginner to mandolin (I have been playing electric guitar for a number of years) and am currently using a seagull s8 as my starter mando.

After a lot of fruitless searching for reviews on the Wasburn I decided not to take the risk and have ordered a Paul Hathway mando instead.
Handmade in the UK.

The Paul Hathway is great! A big step up from the seagull s8 thats for sure.
