I need information on New Washburn M118SWK Vintage F-Style Mandolin with Case, Distressed Matte Finish. Does anyone have any input on this Mandolin. Thanks

I picked one of these up about a month and a half ago. Overall I'm quite satisfied with it as my primary instrument for gigs and recording. It has a wider neck than others I've played and give me the ability to play out more. But the thing I like the best about it is the wood is not glossed and lets the instrument breathe and resonate better. But there are many mandolins out there that can do this.
Many previous posts in the past will say that there are plenty of mandolin makers of same price that are higher quality than Washburns, including Eastmans which are comparable in price and quality. In my opinion, this shouldn't necessarily deter you from checking out the M118SWK. For me it came down to the fact that this one stood out to me more than other mandolins of similar price or more. So definitely go for one that makes the most sense for you. Happy picking!
