I started off with Eddie Collins "Basics of Bluegrass Mandolin". Gives you the basics and has CD to go with it so you can listen as well as look at the tab.

Mel Bay has any number of bluegrass mandolin books available . Some with recordings and some not. With the availability on Amazon of single cuts for .99$ + tax much can be located without a large investment. In the course of your study you might consider this book. R/
