Howdy All, I have a question around a Windsor The Whirle Mandolin Banjo that I recently acquired. I searched on the net to try and find more information on the instrument, but it appears really elusive. I would appreciate any information about the history of this instrument. Regards Mark

I have a copy of a Gibson banjo and guitar catalogue from the 1930s.
It features a couple of banjo-mandolins in it.
Back then there were banjo groups that had various members of the banjo family, i.e., 5-string banjos, tenor banjos, bass banjos, banjo-mandolins, etc.
You can find such photos on the net through Google/Images...
Using your powers of deduction from such information, you can guesstimate the popularity of banjo-mandolins from the 1920s-1930s...
