A lot of interest lately on that "other" mandolin forum regarding an unknown mandolin maker ! George Gruhn is VERY high on this up and coming builder Wes and Wil Wienman from NC, USA ! Very low prices and workmanship absolutely stunning ! Mr. Gruhn says the Wienman sound is equal to high end mandolins that cost 4x as much ! Check them out !

No I haven't, just read all the positive reports on and from George Gruhn who is very high on a Wienman F5 that he has in his shop at Gruhn Guitars ! George took the Wienman to the Opry and let the house band and Rhonda Vincent play on it and they loved it ! But---it is still unsold at this point ! I would have bought it but I am looking for an Engelman top mandolin next so----------- I ordered a new Wienman F5 with an Engelman top , one piece back and gold Waverly tuners, gold James tailpiece and gold EVO frets for $5500. I have had very good luck buying sight unseen and unheard over the years so I will see how this turns out ! :)
