Hi!


 


I'm trying to decide between a used Weber Gallatin A5 and a used Redline A5.


 


The criteria: an A5, a player (not a collector's item), solid wood, carved top, minimal bling, Made in USA, clear sound, big sound, good playability.


 


Does either look like a good bet? (Of course, I'll offer a couple hundred less just to get the snowball rolling.)


 


The Redline isn't quite as clean at the Weber, and it will want a pickup, so it'll end up costing more. Worth it? 


 


What do you know?

Have you checked out the mandolins at elderly.com ?  You might find something even better in your price range.

Thanks! I love Elderly, but there's nothing there that I want. And their prices on used instruments are reasonable but not as good as what's you can find trolling classifieds.



I just made an offer on a Redline. Let's see how that goes.
