This might me a duplicate topic. However posting from my phone, and the search page is not displaying correctly. Please forgive me and direct me to the previous discussion if you are so inclined.
About 2 years ago my sister-in-law got me a tigerseye and an agate stone pick. I've messed with them off and on since then. However, I have recently fallen in love with them. They have a nice crisp clean attack, but that also have a very pronounced clack when digging in and playing chords. If the Polish on them is maintained, they grip nicely as well.
Has anyone else played with stone picks, and if so what are your opinions of them?

Well .... they make pretty jewelry ... playing with them was a bust for me. Too much pick noise. .... R/

I tried 'em several years ago and like U P, too much noise. I guess they'll last a long time but somebody else will have to make that determination 'cause I'm sticking with my Dawg and Dunlop Prime Tone picks.

I've used 'em. They're pretty, but I don't like them as much as I like BC or a 1mm Dunlop.

I've stopped using them on my 8 string acoustics, but still use them on my 4 and 5 string electrics.
