I seem to be having trouble identifying a mandolin I recently purchased, including having contacted Hohner directly. The seller described the instrument as a Hohner HFM-200, however, when searching for this model, the well is dry...no such instrument online. The Hohner rep I talked to online said that it may have been a European release only, but that was just a guess.
I tried to add a pic here, but no luck making that work. The body and neck are mahogany with a flat/matte finish and ivory binding around. It appears to be a well made instrument, more rugged than the average Hohner HFM-100 series.
Do I have some kind of prototype or limited edition? Do I have something they made shortly and stopped because it was not good?
