I thought I would share my 1940's Kay made Paramount. Solid spruce top, mahogany rim and back, Kluson tuners. No cracks, splits or other bad stuff, action is getting a bit high but removing the bridge adjusters brought it down to very acceptable. Neck is bound with tortoise, top is bound with black/white purfling and tortoise, back is bound with tortoise. One piece tailpiece. As a guitar player, I think it plays and sounds great! I got it this afternoon at our local used stuff shop for $150 Cdn and letting the proprietor take away some trees I am felling in the spring.
