Anybody try these and like them? I tried them and hated the coated bottom strings, threw them away right away and put on the regular J74 bottom strings. I kinda like the heavier treble strings though. Anybody else have any comments on them?

I have never liked polymerized strings. They just feel greasy to me. I used J75's for many years and still use them as my back up when what I want , Curt Mangan, aren't available. I play fairly hard with a BC CT-55 and I beat the G and D string dead in about two weeks on a set of 74's. I don't have that problem with the 75's. Both gauges sound good on my mandolin , different but good . The heavier strings just have good tone longer. R/
