I've re-opened a brick-and-mortar acoustic music store in east tennessee. I don't do any internet sales. I previously  started and ran an acoustic music store here from 2003 - 2010.

I sold  Eastman before, but I I'm not handling them this time.  Prior to eastman, I sold  Michael Kelly mandos. I'm thinking of adding MK again..

As consumers, recent experience with MK?

Thanks!!

MK has been getting a lot of bad reviews lately. Go somewhere you can play several before you decide. You will most likely need to spend some time on setting them up when they come in so take that into consideration. Check out Saga and their Kentucky mandolins. R/

I have a Michael Kelly (I think it's called evolution model)  and just love it.   No problems with it at all.  I've never played their entry level mandolins, but the intermediate and higher end ones seem to hold up well, play good and sound good.

I've owned 2 MK mandolins, including the Evolution. I've played two others and collectively they were 4 of the worst mandolins I've played, with the exception of a $40 Rogue. They are among the worst mandolins being produced, IMO.  They have a lot of shine and look pretty but fall far short when it comes to sound. It may not be a bad business decision to sell them because people like pretty, but I would offer some quality as well.

I'm curious why you've abandoned Eastman.  I'm very happy with mine.

Where in E Tenn are you? I live there and would be a potential Eastman customer
