Hello;
I recently acquired a beautiful little burgundy A style mandolin, a Kentucky KM254 (same as km250, except for finish)..
BUT...I don't have a case for it....Anybody here have a KM250 or equiv and bought a case? I'm wondering what will fit before I order. From what I've read the cheap one from Musician's friend doesn't fit, and neither does the "Musician's Gear" hardshell from amazon..
I believe Saga uses the "Carrion C-3701 Fretted A Style Mandolin Case" for this model, but am not sure....
Any other case alternatives? I prefer a hard case over a gig bag.
thanks!

A standard TKL hard shell A style case will be fine.. shaped or otherwise .. if you want to store more in your case than a tuner and spare set of strings you might want to go with something else like a TravelLite . Do not settle for a gig bag ....... even a good gig bag won't protect your instrument for closing doors or hard knocks. I also like the Silver Creek Cases for their handle as well as their protection level. Check out some of the Big Box music stores online. Most sites provide interior measurements so you can make certain of a good fit..... Luck.. R/

Thanks...I'm thinking of getting the Carrion one...it's about 70 bucks, so a little high but not bad.
I love my Eastman MD515 F style that I've had for years,...... but this Kentucky A model is darn impressive. I'm really liking it!

I have a KM250 and rest assured that you have a fine mandolin at any price. I forgot what brand case that I bought but it will
handle an f model as well as an a. Good luck and keep picking
