Howdy Fellow Mandolin Players!! laugh



I recently ordered the Sierra Hull Secrets, Songs, and Tunes Mandolin DVD from Amazon. lt is currently out of stock, and there's no telling when it will be in stock, b/c I ordered it a month ago. angry I decided to go ahead and ask, has anybody ever used this dvd? Was it helpful, and were you pleased with the quality of teaching?, etc. Would you recommend this to a friend? I am DYING to learn Smashville, Hullarious, and her other tunes!! yes

It's a great learning DVD but it's quite advanced since Sierra is a very advanced player. Her teaching is detailed and comprehensive. The tab is accurate. I would rate it as excellent learning resource but be prepared to work hard unless you are at advanced level already. Fortunately Sierra breaks down each tune to slow, medium and fast tempos for learning.

I got my copy directly from Sierra at one of her concerts. She is really down to earth to talk with. So if she is playing near you, go see her. Otherwise, try her website for direct buy at SierraHull.com or get it from AcuTab that made the DVD. They have some other great mando dvds also (like Adam Steffey). And I am impressed with the quality of production as well.
