Hi all,
About 15 years ago, before my grandfather passed away, he wanted me to have his old mandolin. I was just a kid at the time, so didnt think much of it. I recently moved house and come across it again, as I had it stored.
I don't play mandolin and don't know the first thing about them. Hence why I am here seeking the help of you fine people!
My grandfather had this instrument as he was growing up in Italy, prior to immigrating to Australia. He immigrated sometime in the late 30s, so that should give some indication of the instruments age. He was born in 1913.
The mandolin is in okay condition. No doubt completely out of tune.
Anyway, Ive attached some photos of it, just wondering if anybody could possibly shed some light on its origin / brand etc? It has no visible markings or model numbers etc that I can see.
