Hello everyone. It looks like it's normal to post an intro, so here's mine.
I play guitar somewhat, just picked it back up again after a 10 year break. I've always loved mandolins, and my wife loves the sound, so I just bought an Eastman 515 to get my feet wet. It hasn't arrived yet, I'm hoping it's here for the weekend.
I look forward to learning and, well, hanging out!
Jon

The 515 is a nice instrument. I've got a 504 A-style oval-hole and have been impressed with the Eastman product. All the best with the 515.

Welcome to the hangout. I've never played an Eastman myself, but they seem to be consistanly well reviewed pretty much everywhere, I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with it.

Thanks everyone! We missed the FedEx delivery yesterday, but I should have the mandolin today, and sore fingers by Monday.

I think you're right SteveZ. Just tuned it up and started making noise. The dogs are howling!
I have to give kudos to the Mandolin Store and Bryan - delivered on time, and looks beautiful
