I recently purchased a 1916 Gibson F2. It didn't come with the pick guard but every thing else is original, including the case. Any ideas where I could find a pick guard for sale?

I used to work at Music Folk in St. Louis, Webster Groves, specifically...
They frequently have numerous ancient Gibsons hanging on the mandolin wall...
One year, while I was there, an old Gibson came in, missing the pickguard...
The owner's brother Don Ploof (Co-owner) made one from scratch... using pictures from the web and taking measurements from the instrument itself...
He did an excellent job...
Based on this, it seems like a skilled luthier could easily do such a job...
It seems like the odds of you're finding an original, unattached to a mandolin, in good enough shape to use, would be slim...
Good luck to ya...
