Hi Everyone:

I am Andy, I have been a Guitar player and always will be. I have been bitten with the Mandolin bug and am really loving this instrument. It shall I dare say it is becoming my favorite instrumnet to play. I own a Loar LM-520 VS F-style and recently purchased a Loar LM-400 that sounds so much better that my 520. I am a Bluegrass guitarist and now want to be a Bluegrass Mandolin player. I have put some money away and now adding to it to buy a Collings later this year. I cannot tell you how much pleasure I am finding playing Mandolin more and more. I do not know what it is about the Mandolin, but it just feels so right to play and I have just taken to it. Anyway. I just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully start contributing to the forums.

Nice for you to add mandolin to your repertoire of instruments.  Yes, I have played guitar, too, and I find that the mandolin speaks to me in ways the guitar never did. The double strings are a bit of a hassle, but anything cool always has a trial invested in it. I am really enjoying the instrument. Hope to hear from you along the way in forums. Welcome.
