Hello!
My name is Mike and I just purchased an Ibanez MB510E-BS from a friend. I know this is a starter model but I have restrung it and set the bridge intonation and it sounds decent enough for my taste.
I play banjo, guitar, dobro and I can hold my own on bass. For lack of finding musicians to work with here in Northern California I have taken it upon myself to attempt relative proficiency in the various Bluegrass instruments so I can record some material and become a well-rounded picker.
I would like to "pick" the minds of users on this forum for any helpful tips, resources, videos, instructional material, etc. to help me get off the ground with the mandolin. The mando is a new animal for me but I think I can pick it up pretty quickly with the right direction.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
