50s Jazz Repertoire
We will learn the melodies and changes to a few standard Jazz tunes from the 1950s. Tunes are Pent Up House (Sonny Rollins), I’ll Remember April, There Will Never Be Another You and It’s You or No One. We will play these in class and if time allows go into some other topics using these tunes.
This workshop is for intermediate to advanced players, no beginners. Some Jazz background will be helpful but not necessary, but the workshop will move at a quick pace so we can cover all of the tunes. Email me after registering (pete@petimarpress.com) and I will send you the PDF and MP3 material for these tunes so you can be familiar with the material before the workshop.
