A few years back, Weber turned a lot of heads with their "Custom Vintage A" mandolins made from a stock of old wood that Bruce Weber acquired. Anybody know if the wood stock has been used up? Are the "post old wood" Custom Vintage A mandolins as good sounding as the older ones? (opinions please!)
(I am a Weber fan and I want to get either a Weber Bridger or a Weber CVA.)
Thanks.

You could email Bruce and ask him. I emailed Weber just a couple of days ago about getting my SE refretted, I didn't expect Bruce himself to email me back, but he did. Very quickly too I might add. Very good customer service. Here is the email I originally used, weberinfo@twooldhippies.com Hope this helps.
