Just a quick question on this....is it ok to ask what is involved in creating a Players Union like they do at the Banjo Hangout?
I know that this place doesn't have one at present, but i wondered if it's the admin side of it that could be a bit of a headache? I just joined the Banjo one recently, it's nice knowing that you are supporting the site in that way, also you get a few perks that many enjoy. Nothing major but everyone likes to be treated now and again.
T-shirts are on sale here anyway, so that wouldn't have to change, there would have to be another design done of course for the MPU shirts, not sure what is involved with the rest though? A MPU t-shirt would be yet more advertising.
Even if the MPU didn't offer as much as the BHO offers at the moment, i know i would still join to help and get a nice t-shirt. I think it's nice having the logos on your personal homepage or under your username showing that you are a "helping member" or whatever you want to call it.
Just curious anyway....
Thanks,
Calv.

I wondered again about this same thing recently. Time to vault this back up to the top of the charts, as it were. How big do we need to be to have a Player's Union?

I agree. I am a subscriber to the flatpick, banjo and fiddle hangouts also, but am first and foremost, although not that great, a mandolin player. Feels a little odd to join one of the other hangouts, but I would like to support the sites. I will watch for further replies/progress.

Mandolin Player's Union? How does it work? What does it do for the player? Hopefully it's more than a T-shirt conspiracy. One can always join the Musician's Union. Anyone have the Tab for the "International"?

I already have my T-shirt, I want my Union. Though I noticed that the only permanent advertiser seems to be Weber (whom I'd rather not block), and we don't have many giveaways (so that we'd be registered automagically), so, maybe this move would be premature.
