First off, CONGRATULATIONS to these 2 magnificent and highly skilled musicians for their latest offering!
Immense work, study, arranging and practice goes into the efforts of "Duo RO"...
And it shows!
They are performers to the core and very obviously enjoy what they do!
"My bluegrass" offers some interesting insight into the influences of these 2 artists.
I immediately heard David Grisman's early "Dawg" music, essentially European-influenced, jazz-tinged music requiring extraordinary skill and performed flawlessly as far as I can tell.
One of the mandolin solo excursions sounded like Tony Rice on the mandolin and again, from his days with Grisman's early Dawg music.
The rhythmic variations, where she was using 'muffled scratch' patterns was very well-conceived and executed...
All I can say is that these two deserve the very best as far as accolades and performance venues are concerned.
That's my opinion and I'm stickin' to it!
Keep up the good work, folks!
