Very interesting!

I'm gonna have to look up that mandolin...

Sounds like a 4-string electric guitar with a little reverb and some auto-wah...

Cool stuff...

Keep up the good work!

BTW: Being a guy who sent many years playing electric guitars (and I still own and play several of them), it is interesting to me to see such an electric mandolin offering from a company dedicated to very fine instruments, usually in the acoustic category.

Not to mention the history of the electric mandolin including folks like Tiny Moore and numerous other top players. Niles Hokkenan (sp?) among them.

ASR Jethro Burns Model Electric Mandolin...

I couldn't find a pic of Jethro actually playing an electric mandolin, but I suspect he gave his permission to name this one after him...

Tom,

Mine is actually an eight string — so no string bending ?? — I played guitar for awhile before picking up the mandolin in 98 — played acoustic only for many years — I picked up the Weber for about half of the original price — it’s a nice instrument and fun to play — I know there are a lot of past and present players toying with the electric side of GDAE — I have started a SoundCloud account which can be accessed at whenmountainsspeak.com — I have my first gig later this month — thanks for posting all of those great pics,

Steven

Thanks, Steven, I'll check it out...

So, a standard double-course, 4 string mando and electric to boot...

Cool...

I just posted "The Trees (INTRO)" by RUSH arranged for mandolin...

Might sound interesting on your electric...
