More About Me
Heath Joyce is a professional musician and music teacher located in the Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria, Australia. He began playing guitar at the age of 9, and since that time has developed a long and impressive musical history. Having played in multiple bands since the mid 90’s, and studied many different genres of music, Heaths passion for bluegrass has become his focus (and obsession) over the last few years, now never missing an opportunity to attend bluegrass festivals, sessions or pick with friends.
Becoming increasingly known in the festival scene as a great mandolin player and tireless jammer, Heath is also an experienced guitarist, banjo player and is currently learning fiddle. Along with teaching music at Ballarat Grammar, Heath currently plays with “Month of Sundays”, heads up the bluegrass band “Just Add Moonshine”, and is the founder of the Bluegrass Pickers Collective.
