Notes: Tennessee Blues was Bill Monroe's first original composition on the mandolin. It is deceptively simple, and the rhythm is subtle and a bit tricky. The tablature is an approximation of the version Monroe played in the mandolin workshop at the first Fincastle (Roanoke) Bluegrass Festival, Fincastle VA in 1965. Or it may be from the second Fincastle Festival, in 1966. There are some inaccuracies in the tapes floating around on the internet.
