Notes: Bill Monroe rarely played the B part to Roanoke on the mandolin, leaving it instead for the fiddle and banjo. But he did play the B part at a concert in Montreal, 9 February 1970, which I taped with his permission. I have included my approximation of Monroe's B part, as well as my own version of the entire tune.
