It was my first mandolin, and was perfect for me to learn on. The tone is very good for the price, nice and bright, true mandolin sound. I just bought one for my nephew who wants to learn to play for his bluegrass band he is starting.

I am really glad I got this for my beginner mandolin and although I have a better one now, I still play it a lot and think it's a terrific mandolin for a beginner like I was. I highly recommend it as a starter mandolin or to give to someone who is just starting to play.

Perfect for bluegrass and a little jazz I play around with. Rich, bright sound. sounds great even when it isn't plugged in.

I think it's beautiful...rich deep coloring, and I am partial to the f style for looks anyway. Love the Fender classic detailing and chrome/bronze tailing..pearl inlays. Real nice..looks and sounds like it cost alot more.
