These three traces compare the relative humidity (%) inside the instrument (green, solid line), in the case (blue, dashed line), and in the room (black dotted line), for the period 24 July 2020 to 28 August 2020. The vertical black lines represent each time the case was opened, and the humidifer was re-wetted.

This is really nice. I love data. So it looks like inside the case is not much different from the room, just with a lot less variation. What type of humidifier was used? I assume one that was inside the instrument?

That's right, the case (a Guardian) humidity was similar to the room humidity, just a lot more stable. Also, I used a DampIt for a violin inside the mandolin (a Gretsch F2 clone).
I need to take an hour or two and just write up all of the details.
